Two approaches to prospecting
lemlist gives you a very broad toolbox: contact database, email and phone finder, multichannel sequences, built-in calling, AI agents, CRM integrations and an API. You build your lists, sequences and rules. It is an excellent choice when someone on your side runs it.
The Sales Engine starts from a different question: who should you contact, and why now? The platform counts your market, watches buying signals (new decision-maker, hiring, fundraising, public tenders) and proposes the people concerned. You approve each prospect, an opener is written on their signal, then email and LinkedIn run in one thread through to the meeting.
Price: how to compare
On paper, lemlist costs far less: $69 a month for the Email plan billed monthly, $109 per user per month for Multichannel. To compare like with like, add what you will need: enrichment credits, intent signals, and above all the time of whoever builds lists and writes and tunes sequences.
With us, Starter starts at €500 ($600) a month and Growth at €1,000 ($1,200), with targeting, signals, per-prospect openers, one LinkedIn user and support included. The managed service adds our team for €300 ($400) a month. Details on the pricing page.
Where lemlist fits better
If you need calls, SMS or WhatsApp in your sequences, many users on high email volumes, or simply want to test outbound for a few dozen dollars a month, lemlist covers that and The Sales Engine does not. Their 14-day trial lets you check for yourself.
Choose lemlist if
- You have someone dedicated to outbound who wants to configure everything.
- You want channels beyond email and LinkedIn (calls, SMS, WhatsApp).
- Your tool budget is in the tens, not hundreds, per month.
Choose The Sales Engine if
- You want to reach the right people at the moment of a signal, without setting up signals yourself.
- You want to approve each prospect and review each opener before it is sent.
- You want the option to hand campaigns to a team without switching tools.
