The Sales Engine or Sellsy: two French CRMs, two different jobs

Sellsy is French sales management software: contacts, quotes, opportunities and invoicing, sold as Sales, Invoicing or combined licences. The Sales Engine is a French prospecting CRM: it finds decision-makers, reaches them by email and LinkedIn, and fills records, pipeline and meetings on its own. One manages revenue; the other goes out and finds it.

Two different needs

Sellsy covers the sales administration of a small or mid-sized company: the customer record and its history, quotes turned into invoices, opportunities, reminders and, with the Invoicing licence, French e-invoicing compliance. It is the tool for what happens once the customer is found, or nearly found.

The Sales Engine does not do quotes or invoices. It handles the step before: counting your market, spotting buying signals, suggesting the right decision-makers, having you approve them, then reaching them by email and LinkedIn with an opener per prospect. Each reply is classified and each booked meeting moves the record forward, with no data entry. It is a CRM that fills itself, where Sellsy is a management tool.

Price and running both

Sellsy charges per user, €29 to €79 a month excluding VAT on the Sales licence paid yearly, with a 12-month commitment. The Sales Engine charges per workspace: €350 ($420) a month on Starter and €700 ($840) on Growth billed yearly, or €500 / €1,000 monthly with no commitment. Details on the pricing page.

The two fit together: The Sales Engine finds and qualifies, Sellsy takes over at the quote and the invoice. We have no native Sellsy connector today; The Sales Engine REST API and signed webhooks can send approved prospects, replies and meetings to the tool of your choice.

Choose Sellsy if

  • You want one tool for contacts, quotes, invoices and opportunities.
  • E-invoicing and sales administration are your priority.
  • Customers already come to you and you want to organise how you follow them.

Choose The Sales Engine if

  • Your priority is winning new B2B customers, not invoicing them.
  • You want to know who to contact and when, from buying signals.
  • You want email and LinkedIn in one sequence, and a CRM filled with no retyping.
