CRM

What is a prospecting CRM, and why does The Sales Engine fill itself?

A classic CRM waits to be filled. Every record, every exchange, every meeting is typed in by hand, and in the end it only reflects what the team had time to enter. The Sales Engine turns the problem around: prospecting is what fills the CRM.

In short

A prospecting CRM is a CRM fed by the prospecting itself: prospects found on your target and your buying signals enter with a complete record, every email, LinkedIn message, call and reply is logged, and a booked meeting moves the card along the pipeline. The Sales Engine is that CRM: built in France, included in every plan, and connected to HubSpot, Salesforce or Zoho if you already use one.

Why a CRM empties over time

An SMB's CRM is rarely wrong: it is incomplete. Contacts met at a trade show are not in it, LinkedIn follow-ups are not either, calls made from a mobile even less. Every missing piece is an entry nobody made, because entering data sells nothing.

The cost shows up at decision time: who to follow up this week, which opportunity is really alive, how many meetings prospecting produced this month. Without data, you decide from memory. A CRM that fills itself answers by removing the data entry, not by asking for more discipline.

What fills the CRM, without you

  1. Prospects arrive with their record

You describe your target, the platform sizes the market and proposes decision-makers with their role, company, LinkedIn profile, a verified email and, on request, a phone number. You approve; the record is created, complete. See the platform.

  2. Buying signals date every record

New decision-maker, hiring, funding round, public contract won: the signal that brought the prospect in sits on the record with its proof. See buying signals.

  3. Every action is logged

Email sent, opened, answered; LinkedIn invitation and message; a call made from the connected phone system, with its duration; a sales proposal opened. The activity log writes itself.

  4. The reply classifies the prospect

Interested, later, not for us: every reply is read and classified, the record status follows, and only the replies that matter are shown to you.

  5. The meeting moves the card

The slot booked on your scheduling page moves the record to "Meeting", opens the opportunity and moves the card along the pipeline. Nothing to drag, nothing to tick.

What the CRM holds

  • Contact and company records

Native and custom fields, a layout chosen by your workspace, a full contact page with details, activity and related people. The same record in the side panel or full page.

  • Pipelines and opportunities

Lead pipelines with automatic entry rules, opportunities with stages and amounts, favourite bulk actions per person. Your team's pipeline, not an imposed template.

  • Activity log

Everything that happened with a prospect, by channel and date, with reply attachments and call recordings when your phone system allows it.

  • Meetings

Your scheduling page linked to your Google or Microsoft calendar. Booked, moved, cancelled: every step is logged on the record and the pipeline card moves.

  • AI insight on the record

Your own questions, asked of every prospect: context, likely pain, angle of approach. A legal registry for French companies, read at no credit cost. See the platform.

  • In your tools

A Chrome extension to add a LinkedIn profile in one click, alerts in Slack and Teams, an AI connector to query the CRM in plain language, API and webhooks for the rest. See the AI connector.

Frequently asked questions

Is The Sales Engine a CRM or a prospecting tool?

Both, and that is the point: prospecting is what fills the CRM. Contacts, records, activity log, pipelines, opportunities and meetings live in the same application as targeting, buying signals and email + LinkedIn sequences.

Do I need a separate CRM?

No. The CRM is included in every plan. If you already have one, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho or another connector, the platform pushes prospects, replies and meetings into it with no re-entry.

Can I import an existing contact file?

Yes. An uploaded file is read, its columns recognised, missing fields created on demand; contacts wait in a staging area where you enrich them and choose which to keep.

Do my reps see everything?

You decide. Every workspace member has a role, allowed tabs and a visibility scope on prospects and pipelines: their own, their team's or the whole workspace.

How much does the CRM cost?

It has no separate price: it is part of the Starter and Growth plans, from €350 a month per workspace on annual billing. See pricing.
